Mijas Shops

I wanted to send you a picture of the shops.  They line the major streets in the old parts of the city.  They mostly sell leather, pottery and souvenirs.  I am certain there are some differences in the various shops, but they seem to carry mostly similar goods.  The vendors can be very aggressive.  And, of course, the prices are negotiable.    The shops we see in Mijas are similar to the shops we have seen everyplace.

Don’t think that that all the Spanish purchase their goods at these shops.  They have malls with huge department stores.  They have Super Wallmart sized stores.

We did encounter an inside market where people sold fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, etc.  I believe these products were mostly home grown.  They had some green and red bell pepers almost as large as a football.
