This old Church was started in Norman times (about 1000 AD). I don’t think it was always a Church. It had something to do with the towns people not being able to agree on leaders so, Charles the V came in and solved the problem for them. Our tour leader spoke English better than I speak Italian. However, she sometimes would start talking before we were all together. There were 47 of us on the bus. There were at least 5 busses. Did I mention that the locals were pleased to see us?
