The ship takes us to the closest port to Rome. Of course Rome is in Italy. And within Rome is the smallest country in the world – Vatican City. I think Vatican City only became a country in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s. It is a very new thing. Of course Rome has been around for thousands of use.
