Sicily - Taormina

Taormina is a very quaint town in the hills.  It was about an hour’s bus drive from Messina.  There were lots of narrow roads and tunnels.  I don’t know how the bus driver made it.  And, what is wrong with the people who drive tiny cars and challenge busses?

There is one main street in Taormina.  It is about a mile long.  It is obvious that the local economy depends on tourists.  They were elated to have our ship in port.  Their “season” doesn’t start until April.  This was gravy.  This place reeks of quaint.

  1. The drivers of the tiny cars probably learned to drive in the USA. N
